Biography:

 

Cornelis and Michel van Son are blues men with heart and soul who started their musical career as "K.C. & SON " 1998 in the Netherlands.

 After a successful period of touring around blues clubs and festivals in the Netherlands, they ventured to Vetlanda in Småland, Sweden.

Here in Sweden father and son are looking forward to play their blues songs for a new audience in this exiting and beautiful country.

With their energetic style of playing country blues they are introducing blues songs in a refreshing way with a lot of expression and emotion.

Michel adds rhythm to the music by kicking a base drum and a hihat while simultaneously playing bass guitar. 

 

Together with Cornelis his touching voice and melodic bluesharp and guitar playing, it is hard to sit still while listening to this duo playing the blues.

 

This way of playing makes them sound like a complete little blues band.

Because they don’t require much space an the sound level is moderate, it is possible for them to perform in various locations, such as a living room or a small club.

 

The music of Catfish Charly is pure and authentic but most off all it is happy and fun to dance along with.

These guys gives proof that blues can be very inviting and is definitely not dull.

 

Catfish Charly won the publics choice award at the "Scandinavian Blues Contest" at Mönsterås bluesfestival 2008.
